Our semi-annual book sales are our major branch fundraiser. The funds support local scholarships presented each May.

Look for our next sale at Sequoia Mall, April 22-29 during normal mall hours, 10 AM - 9 PM. MOST items are less than $2. We collect books at Lifestyle Fitness Center on Akers Road in Visalia throughout the year.

Note--because we are busy setting up for the sale the day before, pre-sales during set-up are charged TWICE the normal sale price--still a bargain, as our sales support scholarships to members of our community.

Our October sale raised over $17,000. Much thanks to our member volunteers and to the Host Lions Club, volunteers from Pine Recovery, and FBLA students from Redwood High as they loaded, unloaded, and transported books!!

This is a major fundraising effort for the branch to support our project of scholarships for graduates of our local community college, College of the Sequoias. We awarded over $20,000 in scholarships to 16 recipients in 2009. Here are a few who attended our May 9, 2009 luncheon. For inquiries about scholarships contact Carol.
