AAUW Mission Statement AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
AAUW's Value Promise: By joining AAUW, we belong to a community that breaks through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance.
Nationally At the national level, AAUW provides legislative influence and guidance to capitol hill and a framework to support state and local activities. We have a very active public policy program, supported by both staff and a volunteer lobby corps.
Fellowships and grants to promote educational opportunities for women are available though the AAUW Fellowships and Grants Program. Funds for women fighting discrimination in higher education are available though the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund. |
